Postcard campaigns
Offering a special promotion? Launching an exciting new product? Announce it with a postcard campaign.
Postcards are a great medium to use for launching a new product or promotion because they're eye-catching, short on copy and no envelope is required so they are guaranteed to be seen. Here are a few simple tips for creating your postcard campaign.
Frequency. Consistency is key in marketing and postcard campaigns are no exception. A onetime mailing rarely gets the same attention as a multi-part campaign. To get your message to stick, you'll want to mail at least three postcards. Timing is important too. Try to stick to a schedule of mailing your postcards 10 days to 2 weeks apart. This timeframe is close enough together to create a cohesive message, but far enough apart that your recipients don't feel inundated.
Copy. Keep it short and sweet. Postcards don't have much room for copy as it is so you'll want to include only the most compelling information. What's the message that will drive the recipient to pick up the phone or send an email to inquire? This is your call to action and it's what you want front and center on the postcards.
Design. Postcards call for a bold design so get as creative as you like - just remember you want your campaign to have a cohesive feel. Try using a series of related images or the same layout but switch up the colors on each.
