Money Saving Tips
Tips for making direct mail campaigns more cost effective
Is your Marketing budget tight this year? Here are a few simple money saving tips to follow when printing and mailing.
1. Use standard postage - not first class. Did you know any mailing over 200 pieces usually qualifies for the standard postage rate? Depending on the size and shape of what you're mailing, switching from first class postage to standard postage can save you up to 50 percent per piece. Consult your print vendor or local post office to see if your mailings qualify.
2. Print as much as you can all at once. In printing, the more you print, the more you save. Create your entire mail campaign and have it printed all at once. This will require a bit more work upfront on your end, but the savings are worth it.
3. Design your mailings in 2-color instead of 4-color. Your graphic designer will know what this means. Printing in 2-color simply uses less ink - which translates to savings for you.
