Am I eligible for coverage?

To qualify for the Small Firm Program, ask yourself the following questions:

1. Is the principal of your firm a licensed architect or engineer?

Yes No

2. Is your firm a private practice?

Yes No

3. Are your firm's billings less than $500,000?

Yes No

4. Has your firm had fewer than 2 claims in the past 5 years?

Yes No

5. Was the amount reserved/paid by the carrier less than $15,000?

Yes No

6. Has your firm had fewer than 4 claims in the past 10 years?

Yes No

7. Was the amount reserved/paid by the carrier less than $30,000?

Yes No

8. Does your firm employ 12 or fewer people (part-time or full-time)?

Yes No

9. Is your firm willing to use some form of written agreement on
all projects?

Yes No

10. Answer yes if neither your firm nor any member of the firm has never had a professional liability policy cancelled (except for nonpayment of premium) or been non-renewed by any insurance company?

Yes No

11. Answer yes if your firm is NOT a soils, process, chemical,
nuclear, marine or mining engineering firm; a product design firm;
a home inspection firm; an asbestos abatement contractor; or a
machine/equipment design firm.

12. Answer yes if less than 10% of your firm's billings (either this
year or next) are derived from pollution cleanup, remediation or
containment, underground storage tanks, air emission controls,
landfills, superfund sites, environmental permitting or industrial
piping or processes.

13. Answer yes less than 20% of your firm's billings are derived from Design/Build projects where you, or a related entity, accept responsibility for actual construction by in-house personnel or contractors.

14. Answer less than 10% of our firm's billings are derived from asbestos related services.

15. Answer yes if less than 10% of your firm's billings are derived from condominium projects.

Yes No

If you answered yes to all of the questions above, you're eligible for coverage in our Small Firms program. If you answered no to some questions, you may still be eligible for coverage under another one of Schinnerer's professional liability programs.
