Stand-Alone Fiduciary Coverage

Schinnerer is now offering a stand-alone fiduciary policy for not-for-profit organizations. Keeping D&O and fiduciary coverage with the same carrier means easier claims handling and greater convenience. And with our stand-alone policy, your client gets a dedicated fiduciary limit-up to $3 million. Options with no retention and a $1 million limit are also available. The stand-alone fiduciary policy is also backed by the service and expertise that you've come to expect from Schinnerer.

Minimum Premium: $800

Limits: $1 million - $3 million

Target Risks/Classes: Non-profit organizations: Agricultural cooperatives, alumni associations, civic organizations, clubs, community groups, cultural centers, foundations & charities, golf & country clubs, museums & historical societies, rural water authorities, social service providers without childcare operations and trade and professional associations. Classes not writing: Hospitals, nursing homes, HMOs, PPOs, churches and condominium and homeowners' associations, childcare, adoption and foster care organizations

Available: In all states and the District of Columbia, except LA, ME and VT.

Program Features:

  • Policy protects against a wide range of exposures, including:
    • Breach of fiduciary duties under ERISA and similar statutes
    • Negligent errors and omissions
    • Mismanagement of pension funds and investments
    • Negligent supervision of outside professional plan managers
    • Faulty advice or counsel
    • Improper disclosure to plan participants
    • Improper termination of a pension plan
  • Coverage extends to directors, officers, trustees and employees who act as fiduciaries or administrators as defined by ERISA
  • Coverage included for:
    • Monetary and non-monetary claims
    • Civil, criminal and regulatory proceedings or investigations, as well as arbitration
