The Design-Build Institute of America (DBIA) was organized in 1993 to serve as an industry-wide advocate of single-source design and construction services. As a trade association, DBIA represents over 280 design-build practitioners throughout the United States as well as several other nations. These members are recognized leaders in the design-build, design and construction industries. As compiled by ENR magazine, DBIA members accounted for over $47 billion of the construction put into place in 1995.
DBIA promotes the design-build project delivery method through active participation in the industry, educating the customer, providing standard procedures for design-build procurement and promoting design-build to key corporations and government agencies.
