To qualify for mold coverage, your firm must:
- Have written procedures and protocols in place to address and mitigate water intrusion and mold both during construction and post construction
- Have a designated person to manage risks associated with mold
- Have at least the following in construction values:
- General contractors - $10m
- Specialty contractors - $5m
- Have no previous mold claims
- Have a GL loss ratio of less than 60%
- Have a three year average for long-term habitation work of 10% or less. Long-term habitation includes single and multi family residences, college dormitories and nursing homes
- Have a three-year average for short-term habitation work of 20% or less. Short-term habitation includes hotels and motels
Firms with more than 25% of their projects in the following states will NOT be eligible for mold coverage: Arizona, California, Florida, Hawaii, North Carolina, Oklahoma, Oregon, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas and Washington.
Firms who perform or subcontract mold remediation, fire restoration services or water intrusion restoration services will NOT be eligible for mold coverage.
